Quirindi Care Services successfully transitions to Apollo Care
Quirindi Care Services (QCS) secured a more sustainable future for the local community by joining specialist regional aged care provider, Apollo Care. This followed a special general meeting held last month where members of QCS voted in favour of joining this alliance of 14 aged care communities across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Members of the Apollo Care team are onsite this week to meet residents and families, and support staff during the transition.
QCS has been operating the not-for-profit aged care community Eloura for 50 years but has struggled to remain financially viable in the increasingly challenging regulatory and operating environment.
The transition to Apollo Care ensures that Eloura will continue to care for locals and remain one of the largest employers in the area.
“Apollo Care is the right choice. They will provide us with the scale, capital and expertise we need so we can continue to be a valued asset for the region for generations to come.”
Apollo Care’s CEO Stephen Becsi OAM says,
“I’m delighted to welcome QCS into our alliance. We have an excellent track record of strengthening regional aged care communities and we look forward to making Eloura an even better place to live and work.”
Kim Riley, QCS’s General Manager believes Apollo Care’s unique model was the deciding factor.
“Apollo Care will protect the name, purpose and legacy of our Eloura community, while ensuring it remains sustainable.”
