Scrapbooking sparks memories and meaningful moments
Residents are embracing the creative world of scrapbooking.
“Scrapbooking creates space for expression and reflection,” says Manager, Kim. “There are so many benefits - it stimulates memory, boosts motor skills, builds confidence and encourages conversation and connection.”

The residents are enjoying collecting photographs and transforming them into long-lasting keepsakes, with the help of staff and volunteers.
At the weekly sessions, the craft table is laden with pictures, ribbons, lace and paper. Residents make their selections and are soon cutting and pasting to build their scrapbooks while chatting happily about their family, friends and experiences.
“I didn’t think I’d enjoy scrapbooking, but it’s brought back some lovely memories,” says Johanna. Sylvia agrees. “We have a good chat while we work too – that’s the best part.”
